PA-18 Super Cub

Cub.jpg

The Super Cub is a high wing, two seat, STOL (short take off and landing) aircraft designed initially for training. However, it soon became perfectly adapted for bush flying on floats and later with the addition of the tundra tire. It is well known and used extensively in bush Alaska for its ability to get in and out of small areas with a large payload.

M-7-235A Maule

The Maule M-7 is a perfect “go between” airplane. It is very similar to the Super Cub except it can carry 3 passengers and gear. The performance is very comparable to the Super Cub as well. We operate the Maule on floats during the summer and fall. During the winter and spring, we operate on skis and wheels. The Maule has a large cargo door that can accommodate large pieces of gear or equipment. Besides its ability to land and take off short, the Maule has a high cruise speed as well which allows us to get there and back in a more timely manner.

The Beaver is a single-engine, high-wing, propeller-driven, short takeoff and landing (STOL) aircraft developed and manufactured by de Havilland Canada. It has been primarily operated as a bush plane and has been used for a wide variety of utility roles, such as cargo and passenger hauling, aerial application (crop dusting and aerial topdressing), and civil aviation duties. The Beaver was specifically designed to be a float plane and operate exclusively in the bush. The Beaver was developed and built around the suggestions and needs of the pilots who would be flying them.
